Canopy Growth Corporation (NASDAQ: CGC) announced that its Kincardine, Ontario cultivation facility has received renewed European Union Good Manufacturing Practice (EU GMP) certification from the Regierungspräsidium Tübingen – Leitstelle Arzneimittelüberwachung Baden-Württemberg, a German regulatory authority.
The renewed certification allows Canopy Growth to continue supplying Canadian-grown cannabis from the Kincardine facility to medical cannabis markets in Europe. The facility connects to the company's EU GMP-certified distribution site in Sankt Leon-Rot, Germany.
"This renewal reflects the quality, consistency, and reliability of our cultivation operations at Kincardine and our commitment to supplying high-quality EU GMP flower directly from Canada," said Luc Mongeau, Chief Executive Officer of Canopy Growth.
According to a press release from the company, international cannabis net revenue grew 10% year-over-year in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, which the company attributed in part to momentum in Europe.
Mongeau also noted that the company plans to expand its flower portfolio in Europe, including through the introduction of MTL Cannabis genetics and additional strains.
