Xylem names Carlisle Companies CEO to its board of directors

Xylem (NYSE: XYL) has appointed D. Christian Koch to its board of directors, according to a company statement.
Koch currently serves as board chair, president and chief executive officer of Carlisle Companies Incorporated, a building envelope products supplier with approximately $5 billion in annual revenue. He has held leadership positions at Carlisle since joining the company in 2008 and previously held roles at Graco Inc. and H.B. Fuller.
Robert Friel, chair of Xylem's board, said in the statement: "Chris brings decades of leadership experience across global industrial businesses, and we look forward to leveraging his insights as Xylem continues to execute its strategy and create value for our stakeholders."
Matthew Pine, president and CEO of Xylem, noted Koch's experience on both public and private company boards as part of the announcement.
Koch holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor's degree from Macalester College.
