Perpetuals.com Ltd (Nasdaq: PDC) announced that its subsidiary, Perpetual Markets MTF (PM MTF Ltd.), has received authorization from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) to offer crypto-asset services under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA).
The authorization permits the operation of a crypto-asset trading platform providing custody and administration, order execution, order reception and transmission, and crypto-asset transfer services. Through MiCA's cross-border notification framework, Perpetual Markets MTF can offer these services to clients across the EU.
The approval builds on Perpetuals' existing MiFID II-regulated Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) platform, allowing the company to add crypto assets to the range of asset classes available through its regulated European venue.
Perpetuals also indicated that its infrastructure will be available to other firms seeking regulated EU crypto services. "It also positions Perpetuals as a white-label provider, giving brokers and institutions a regulated route into European crypto through our infrastructure rather than their own," said Patrick Gruhn, CEO of Perpetuals.
