August 12, 2026 9:12 AM EDT

CodeRabbit, an AI code review company, announced a $143 million Series C funding round at a $1.5 billion valuation, less than a year after closing a $60 million Series B. The round was co-led by Atomico and Smash Capital, with participation from BMW i Ventures, Datadog, Hirtle Callaghan, SineWave Ventures, Scenic Management, CRV, Scale Venture Partners, Flex Capital, Pelion Venture Partners, Harmony Partners, and Engineering Capital.

Luca Eisenstecken, Partner at Atomico, will join CodeRabbit's Board of Directors. The San Francisco-based company said it plans to use the capital to accelerate international expansion and research and product development.

CodeRabbit reported revenue growth of more than 5x year-over-year and said it conducts more than 2 million code reviews each week. The company counts more than 17,000 customers, including Adyen, BMW, Indeed, JFrog, Nvidia, Trivago, and Campfire.

Alongside the funding announcement, CodeRabbit introduced what it calls Agentic Change Management, a set of tools designed to help engineering teams govern and review software changes from both human developers and AI coding agents. The new capabilities include CodeRabbit Triage, which scores and routes incoming pull requests; CodeRabbit Change Stack, an explainability tool that maps how a change affects a codebase; and CodeRabbit Security, which scans repositories and monitors production code for vulnerabilities. All three features are available immediately on the platform.

The company said it plans to commit more than $10 million over the next 12 months to keep its AI code review and agent capabilities free for open source projects.

CodeRabbit also disclosed it has opened a London office in Moorgate and has scaled to 50 full-time employees across London and the EU. The company said it plans to expand further in Europe and enter the Japanese and other Asian markets as part of its use of the new funding.
