Vivakor reports increased trading activity amid Middle East tensions
Vivakor, Inc. (Nasdaq: VIVK) reported increased activity across its Supply and Trading business, citing geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East and volatility in global crude oil markets, according to a company press release.
Vivakor Supply & Trading, LLC (VST) said it is seeing higher activity across its physical crude oil marketing platform as supply, demand, and pricing dynamics shift in key U.S. crude oil markets. The company said this builds on previously announced growth in contracted volumes and commercial relationships.
"The current market environment is reinforcing the strategy behind the expansion of our supply and trading business," said James Ballengee, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vivakor. "We have spent the past several months building recurring volume and commercial relationships across the VST platform, and the increased activity we are seeing demonstrates the value of that foundation."
Vivakor said its crude oil marketing operations are supported by access to U.S. crude oil markets, pipeline-connected terminaling and storage capabilities, and established commercial relationships.
The Dallas-based company describes itself as an integrated provider of energy transportation, storage, reuse, and remediation services.
