SciTec wins $93.7M Space Force radar digitization contract

SciTec, a subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace (Nasdaq: FLY), has been awarded a $93,704,410 firm-fixed price other transaction agreement by the U.S. Space Force for a ground-based radar digitization program, according to a press release from the company.

The contract covers modernization efforts to create a common architecture and design for upgrading ground-based radars. Space Systems Command in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is the contracting activity.

David Simenc, SciTec president, said the effort is aimed at "modernizing vital radar infrastructure and ensuring the United States maintains an operational advantage in an increasingly contested environment while minimizing total lifecycle costs to taxpayers and warfighters."

SciTec is headquartered in Princeton, N.J., and describes itself as having more than four decades of experience supporting national security missions. Its work spans missile warning and defense, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, space domain awareness, and autonomous command and control.

Firefly Aerospace is based in central Texas and focuses on launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles.
