Baker Hughes wins subsea systems contract for Indonesia gas project

Baker Hughes (NASDAQ: BKR) announced it has received a contract from Searah North Ganal Limited, a subsidiary of a joint venture between Eni and Petronas, to supply subsea production systems for the Kutei Northern Hub development offshore Indonesia.

Under the agreement, Baker Hughes will supply 17 deepwater horizontal tree systems, along with manifolds, connections, and control and distribution systems, for the integrated development of the Geng North and Gehem fields. The company will also deploy its Cordant asset protection and condition monitoring systems for the project.

The systems are intended to support natural gas production aimed at strengthening Indonesia's LNG capacity and domestic energy supply.

Baker Hughes will manufacture the subsea trees at its Global Manufacturing Center for Subsea Trees in Batam, Indonesia, with additional operational and service support from its Balikpapan facility.

The contract follows a 2025 award in which Baker Hughes received an order for flash gas compressors for a new floating production, storage and offloading vessel associated with the same development. That vessel is designed to process over one billion standard cubic feet per day of gas and 90,000 barrels per day of condensate, with a storage capacity of 1.4 million barrels.
