Conagra Brands, Inc. (NYSE: CAG) has launched Marigold, a new brand offering Indian-style frozen entrées and cooking sauces for the Canadian market, according to a company statement.
The brand's first product line includes four halal-certified, single-serve frozen entrées: Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, Tikka Masala, and Chana Masala, each served with basmati rice. A second line features four vegetarian cooking sauces — Butter Chicken, Spicy Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, and Biryani — prepared in Canada with no artificial colors.
Conagra says the products were developed in collaboration with Chef Meherwan Irani, founder of Chai Pani Restaurant Group. "From the ingredients selected to the careful layering of seasonings, no shortcuts were taken," Irani said in the statement.
Caroline Nadeau, General Manager at Conagra Brands Canada, described the launch as "one of the most significant innovation investments" the company has made in the Canadian market.
Marigold frozen entrées are currently shipping to select Canadian retailers, with nationwide availability expected by September 2026. The cooking sauces are scheduled to reach stores in September 2026.
