Novo Nordisk raises 2026 outlook on stronger GLP-1 sales
Novo Nordisk raised its full-year 2026 adjusted sales and adjusted operating profit outlook, citing increased expectations for GLP-1 product sales, according to a company statement.
The Danish pharmaceutical company now expects adjusted sales growth of 0% to -6% at constant exchange rates (CER) for 2026, compared with a prior forecast of -4% to -12% at CER. Adjusted operating profit growth guidance was similarly revised to 0% to -6% at CER, up from -4% to -12% at CER.
For the second quarter of 2026, Novo Nordisk reported adjusted sales of DKK 78,488 million, representing 7% growth at CER. Adjusted operating profit reached DKK 33,389 million, up 11% at CER.
The adjusted figures exclude non-recurring impacts from provision reversals related to the 340B Drug Pricing Program in the United States. Adjusted operating profit also excludes DKK 6.3 billion in non-recurring, non-cash impairment charges recorded in Q2 2026 related to intangible pipeline assets, including DKK 4.0 billion tied to monlunabant.
On a non-adjusted basis, the midpoint of both sales and operating profit growth guidance for 2026 at CER would be 5% and 12%, respectively.
Novo Nordisk's full financial results for the first six months of 2026 are scheduled for release on August 4, 2026.
