T1 Energy Inc. (NYSE: TE) announced a supply agreement with Clearway Energy Group to deliver 641 megawatts of solar modules built with domestic solar cells from T1's G2_Austin solar cell fabrication facility.
The modules will be manufactured at T1's G1_Dallas facility, a 5-gigawatt solar module plant in Texas. T1 began construction of its G2_Austin solar cell fab in December 2025 and expects the first 2.1-gigawatt phase to begin producing cells in the first quarter of 2027. The company said it expects to offer modules with greater than 60% domestic content in 2027.
"Contracts with top-tier manufacturers like T1 help ensure that Clearway can deliver on our ambitious development pipeline with competitive and reliable projects," said Frances Cook, Vice President of Procurement at Clearway Energy. "With this deal, we are especially excited to bring domestic cells into future construction, generating American-made power with American-made parts."
T1 Chairman and CEO Dan Barcelo said the partnership reflects the company's strategy to provide customers with a traceable domestic solar supply chain. "Customers such as Clearway seeking high-domestic-content modules are building critical momentum for a 'Made in America' supply chain," Barcelo said.
Clearway Energy Group is an independent power producer. The agreement was announced according to a press release statement from T1 Energy dated August 3, 2026.
