MGM Resorts CEO Bill Hornbuckle joins Vail Resorts board

Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) announced the appointment of Bill Hornbuckle, Chief Executive Officer and President of MGM Resorts International, to its board of directors, bringing the total number of board members to ten.
Hornbuckle has served as CEO of MGM Resorts for six years and brings more than 35 years of experience in hospitality, resort operations, marketing and large-scale integrated resort management. Before becoming CEO, he held senior leadership roles at MGM Resorts including president and chief operating officer and chief marketing officer.
Rob Katz, CEO of Vail Resorts, cited Hornbuckle's appointment in the context of the company's multi-year guest experience initiative called Epic Experience. "As we launch Epic Experience — our multi-year roadmap to make every part of the mountain journey more seamless, personalized and memorable — we are thrilled to welcome Bill to our board," Katz said.
Hornbuckle holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and currently serves as Chair of the U.S. Travel Association. He has also served on the Clark County Stadium Authority Board and as a board member and President of T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Hornbuckle joins existing board members Reggie Chambers, Sue Decker, Rob Katz, Iris Knobloch, Nadia Rawlinson, Hilary Schneider, Peter Vaughn, Michele Romanow and Bruce Sewell.
