Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: UBER) announced partnerships with four regional grocery retailers to expand its Uber Eats marketplace, according to a company press release.
The new partners are Busch's Fresh Food Market, a Michigan-based family-owned chain; Hays, a family-owned retailer operating in Arkansas and Missouri under the Hays Supermarkets and Food Smart banners; Lowe's Market, which serves communities primarily in Texas as part of Pay and Save, Inc.; and Piggly Wiggly, with participating locations in North Carolina.
Customers can order from these stores through the Uber Eats, Uber, and Postmates apps, with options for on-demand or scheduled delivery and real-time order tracking.
"When it comes to grocery shopping, local preference matters," said Hashim Amin, Head of Grocery and Retail, North America at Uber. "These new partnerships help us bring more of those local favorites to Uber Eats while creating new opportunities for grocers to grow their business."
Uber One members receive a $0 delivery fee on eligible grocery orders, subject to fees and terms.
