Dynamis orders 76 Baker Hughes gas turbines totaling ~1.3GW

Dynamis Power Solutions, LLC and Baker Hughes (NASDAQ: BKR) announced an order for 76 NovaLT16 gas turbines paired with gearboxes and generators, totaling approximately 1.3 gigawatts of capacity for data center and oil and gas applications.

According to a press release, the turbines were booked in the second quarter of 2026, with gearboxes and generators booked in the third quarter. Baker Hughes will supply the NovaLT16 gas turbines alongside BRUSH Power Generation generators, gearboxes, and control systems.

Dynamis will package the equipment into its DT17 hypermobile power units, which are designed for deployment across data center projects and oil and gas operations in North America. The DT17 is described as a scaled version of Dynamis' existing DT35 platform.

"The market is demanding utility-grade power solutions that deliver lower emissions without the complexity and expense of water, which is exactly what our Dynamis DT17 platform was engineered to provide," said Matt Crawford, CEO of Dynamis Power Solutions.

Baker Hughes Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Simonelli said the two companies have collaborated for over a decade. "Power demand in North America is accelerating as data centers and digitization expand, manufacturing returns, and energy infrastructure continues to grow," Simonelli said.

The DT17 units feature a modular design intended to allow customization for specific power requirements. Dynamis is based in Houston, and Baker Hughes operates in over 120 countries.
