Virtuix's Omni One platform added to Marine Corps drone trainer

Virtuix Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: VTIX) announced that its Omni One movement platform has been integrated into LeadTech's Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) Personnel Trainer, an AI-enabled simulation platform designed for counter-drone marksmanship training with full-body movement.

According to a press release, Virtuix and LeadTech plan to install the system at the Training and Education Command (TECOM) of the U.S. Marine Corps at Quantico, Virginia. Teams from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms and Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton are scheduled to evaluate the platform for potential future training use.

The simulator recreates military training ranges as digital environments, including the Marine Corps' Little Baghdad urban training complex at Twentynine Palms. Additional virtual ranges are planned for Quantico, Fort Benning, and other locations. The system supports both individual and multi-user training, allowing squads to rehearse coordinated counter-drone operations.

"Counter-drone engagements are inherently movement-intensive," said Chip Northrup, CEO of LeadTech. "Integrating Omni One into our C-UAS Personnel Trainer allows trainees to practice these movements naturally, creating a far more realistic and effective training experience than conventional virtual reality systems."

Jan Goetgeluk, Founder and CEO of Virtuix, said the Omni One platform "enables warfighters to move naturally through complex virtual environments while maintaining full situational awareness."

Virtuix stated the announcement builds on existing defense contracts, including its role as lead integrator for a Marine Corps virtual fireteam trainer, an Air Force SBIR Phase I award, a development agreement with the U.S. Navy, and deployments to the U.S. Army and Air National Guard.
