Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH) announced the launch of its EMEA AI Unit on July 28, 2026, a dedicated organization aimed at helping enterprises across Europe, the Middle East and Africa deploy agentic AI solutions at scale.
The unit is built around Cognizant's Frontier Deployed Engineering offering, which includes three service tiers: Foundation, covering AI strategy, governance and early prototypes; Accelerate, focused on deploying high-value use cases into production; and Transform, which uses multi-agent delivery teams to automate workflows end to end.
According to a press release, the unit is already engaged with clients in multiple sectors. Cognizant said it is working with a European online fashion retailer to move AI use cases into production through an AI factory model, targeting reductions in development cycles from months to days. The company is also working with a global pharmaceutical company to apply multi-agent systems to drug discovery, clinical trial design and regulatory preparation.
Manoj Mehta, President EMEA at Cognizant, said: "The EMEA AI Unit reflects Cognizant's AI Builder strategy by bringing together the people, platforms and engineering expertise needed to move clients from pilots to payoff. Our approach is neutral by design: we work across clouds, models and ecosystems so clients can build agentic AI solutions that fit their business, integrate into operations and support accountability for outcomes."
The company said the unit is designed to operate independently of any single cloud platform, AI model or technology vendor, and that its teams are structured to address regional requirements including data sovereignty and sector-specific regulations.
