Huron adds Dr. L. Thomas Richards to its board of directors

Huron (NASDAQ: HURN) has elected Dr. L. Thomas Richards to its board of directors, effective July 23, 2026, bringing the total number of board members to 10.
Dr. Richards most recently served as chair of the board of directors of WittKieffer, an executive search and leadership advisory firm serving the healthcare, higher education, and life sciences sectors.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Richards held chief executive roles at One Biomed, a molecular tools company, and TessArae, a molecular diagnostics company. He also practiced academic medicine as an emergency physician and assistant professor at Stanford University and the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Richards previously worked as an investment banker in the mergers and acquisitions groups of Lazard Frères, UBS, and SG Cowen. He has served on the board of directors of Cowen Group, Inc., a publicly traded financial services firm, as well as TessArae and One Biomed. He currently serves on the boards of The World Telehealth Initiative and the Surfrider Foundation.
Dr. Richards holds an M.D. from Harvard Medical School, an M.Phil. from the University of Sydney, and a B.A. from Yale University. He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
Hugh Sawyer, non-executive chairman of the Huron board, said Dr. Richards "brings a unique combination of senior management, board leadership, and capital markets expertise across his roles as an investment banker, life sciences executive, physician, and board director."
