Keysight certifies EM design software for Intel Foundry processes

Keysight Technologies (NYSE: KEYS) has certified its RFPro electromagnetic design software, part of the Keysight EDA Advanced Design System, for Intel Foundry's Intel 14A and Intel 18A-P process technologies, according to a company press release.

The certification is intended to give radio frequency integrated circuit and mixed-signal designers assurance that electromagnetic simulations accurately reflect Intel Foundry's manufacturing processes before chips move to production. A mismatch between electromagnetic and circuit behavior discovered after tape-out typically requires an expensive chip redesign.

Intel 14A introduces RibbonFET 2 and PowerDirect, new transistor and power delivery architectures. The certification extends Keysight's existing collaboration with Intel Foundry, which previously included support for Intel 18A and EMIB-T advanced packaging technology.
