BlackLine, Inc. (Nasdaq: BL) announced the general availability of Verity Prepare, a multi-agent AI system designed to automate account reconciliation preparation for finance teams, according to a company press release dated July 27, 2026.
Verity Prepare uses multiple specialized AI agents working together to ingest supporting documents, match transactions, identify reconciling items, and compile reconciliation packages for human review and approval. The system includes audit trails, confidence scoring, and transparent reasoning for each AI-generated recommendation.
The product follows an early adopter program, during which BlackLine says participating organizations achieved up to a 92% reduction in manual reconciliation preparation time. Delaware North was among the early adopters, with Chris Giambra of Corporate Accounting at the company noting the transition from concept to practical use cases.
Owen Ryan, CEO of BlackLine, said: "Trust isn't achieved through autonomy alone. It comes from transparency, governance, and maintaining robust human oversight. Verity Prepare gives finance teams the confidence to deploy AI across one of accounting's most complex processes while keeping professionals firmly in control."
BlackLine describes Verity Prepare as part of its broader Agentic Financial Operations platform, which aims to coordinate AI tools across finance functions under a unified governance model. The company serves nearly 4,300 customers across multiple industries.
