Wipro and Databricks expand partnership for enterprise AI deployment

Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT) announced an expanded partnership with Databricks to help enterprises modernize data infrastructure and scale AI deployments, according to a press release from the company.

As part of the agreement, Wipro has established a dedicated Databricks business practice focused on developing industry-specific AI solutions. The practice draws on more than 300 agentic AI and data use cases across sectors including banking and financial services, healthcare, telecom, manufacturing, and energy.

The collaboration will integrate Databricks' capabilities for agentic AI, data modernization, and analytics with Wipro's AI platform suite, Wipro Intelligence. The practice will also incorporate Databricks Genie, a tool that allows users to interact with enterprise data using natural language, and WEGA, Wipro's agent-native delivery platform.

"Our long-standing collaboration with Databricks reflects a shared commitment to help enterprises move from AI experimentation to measurable value," said Kanwar Singh, Managing Partner - Technology Services, Wipro Limited.

Kori O'Brien, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at Databricks, said the practice would enable enterprises to "build trusted data foundations and deploy production-ready AI at scale."

Planned industry applications include wealth management and portfolio optimization for financial services, supply chain resiliency tools for manufacturing, AI-led sales transformation for telecoms, and asset performance management for energy companies. The practice also targets finance function transformation through AI-driven financial planning and analysis.

Databricks recognized Wipro with its 2025 Banking Partner of the Year Award and its 2026 Innovation Partner of the Year designation.
