Quantum Cyber builds first mini-interceptor drone at Connecticut plant

Quantum Cyber N.V. (Nasdaq: QUCY) announced that its subsidiary, Quantum Drones Corporation, has completed the manufacturing and assembly of its first mini-interceptor drone at its newly acquired facility in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The company acquired the approximately 50,000 square foot facility on July 15, 2026. The mini-interceptor is described as a high-speed autonomous platform designed for aerial neutralization of hostile unmanned aerial systems.

According to the company, the drone has a maximum speed of up to 220 kilometers per hour, an operation time of up to 20 minutes, and can carry a payload of up to 50 grams.

Quantum Cyber also said the initial buildout of a planned 80-unit 3D printing drone production farm at the Bridgeport facility is advancing and is expected to come online shortly. The company said the farm is intended to serve as the primary autonomous drone manufacturing operation at the facility.

"Producing and assembling our first mini-interceptor at Bridgeport moves us from acquiring the facility to running it," said David Lazar, Chief Executive Officer of Quantum Cyber.

The company has previously stated a targeted annual production capacity of approximately 100,000 drones from the Bridgeport facility upon completion of full operational buildout. The company said these targets are aligned with Executive Order 14307 and the U.S. Department of Defense FY2027 budget, which the company says allocates approximately $55 billion toward drone and autonomous warfare programs.

The company filed a provisional patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on May 19, 2026, for its Quantum Drone Autonomous System architecture. The filing of a provisional patent application does not guarantee issuance of a patent.
