Factorial Energy lands first commercial aerospace battery order

Factorial Energy Inc. (Nasdaq: FAC) announced its first commercial order for battery cells in the aerospace sector, according to a press release issued July 24, 2026.

The order comes from an unidentified U.S.-based drone manufacturer. Factorial will supply high-energy-density lithium-metal cells for integration into battery packs by a U.S.-based pack integrator. The company said the order follows successful battery integration and drone flight testing.

Siyu Huang, CEO of Factorial, said the drone flight test demonstrated a more than 30% increase in flight range. "In only six months, we designed a new product, built integration partnerships on three continents, completed flight testing, and secured a first purchase order," Huang said.

The company said it expects additional orders in the aerospace sector. Factorial also operates in automotive applications, noting past road testing with Mercedes-Benz that achieved over 1,200 km of range on a single charge, and lab testing with Stellantis using 77 Ah cells integrated into a Dodge Charger Daytona demonstration vehicle.

Factorial's backers include Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, Hyundai, Kia, and IQT, a not-for-profit strategic investor affiliated with the U.S. national security community.
