NIQ expands AI-powered Smart Insights across gfknewron platform

NielsenIQ (NYSE: NIQ) announced the expansion of its AI-powered Smart Insights feature across its gfknewron platform, adding capabilities to its Market, Supply Chain and Consumer workflows, according to a company press release.

The updated tool allows users to generate summaries of complex datasets, analyze up to four years of trended sales data, and access insights on mobile devices. Users can also integrate AI-generated content into presentations and reporting workflows.

Smart Insights uses generative AI combined with NIQ's market, consumer and supply chain data to surface trends, performance drivers and opportunities. The feature is designed for a range of users, from analysts to commercial teams, and does not require advanced analytical expertise to operate.

"Businesses today don't just need more information. They need intelligence they can trust," said Julian Baldwin, President of Global Strategic Accounts at NIQ. "Smart Insights combines AI with the breadth and depth of NIQ's market intelligence to help clients quickly uncover the trends, opportunities and performance drivers most relevant to them."

NIQ noted that AI-generated outputs should be reviewed and validated before use in business decisions or external communications, and that users retain access to underlying data to support their analysis.

The company said it plans to demonstrate these capabilities at IFA 2026, where NIQ will participate as Insights Partner.
