Cognizant and Gulf Edge announce AI partnership in Thailand

Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH) and Gulf Edge Company Limited, the digital infrastructure arm of Gulf Group, announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding AI adoption across Thailand, according to a press release dated July 23, 2026.
The partnership combines Gulf Edge's digital infrastructure, cloud, and energy capabilities with Cognizant's AI engineering and enterprise technology services. The two companies plan to deliver services spanning AI platforms, systems integration, cloud modernization, and managed services.
The initial focus will cover banking and financial services, energy and utilities, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, and the public sector.
Ganesh Ayyar, Cognizant's President of Asia Pacific and Japan, said the partnership has the potential to generate "up to approximately 1,000 high-skilled jobs in advanced AI and digital transformation." The two companies also plan to collaborate with universities, research institutions, and public-sector organizations on AI talent development.
Sarath Ratanavadi, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Development Public Company Limited, said the partnership aims to create "a comprehensive platform that enables organizations to adopt AI with confidence and generate measurable business outcomes."
The companies did not disclose financial terms of the agreement.
