Bridger Aerospace Group Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BAER, BAERW) has leased two CL-215T Super Scooper aircraft to Avincis, with the planes deployed to support wildfire suppression efforts in Portugal, according to a joint statement released July 23, 2026.
The agreement marks Bridger's first revenue-generating operations in Europe. The aircraft are under contract through mid-October, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable agreements. Under the arrangement, Avincis will operate the Bridger-owned aircraft.
Avincis, which is headquartered in Lisbon and operates a fleet of approximately 210 aircraft across Europe, Africa, and South America, said the additional aircraft will support ongoing responses to wildfire threats in Portugal. The company works with national and regional authorities to deploy resources across its operating areas.
John Boag, Group CEO of Avincis, said: "This agreement with Bridger strengthens our ability to respond to that demand by adding proven firefighting aircraft to our fleet at a critical time."
Sam Davis, President and CEO of Bridger Aerospace, said: "This deployment marks an important milestone for Bridger as our first revenue-generating activity in Europe and demonstrates the versatility of our fleet and business model."
Bridger Aerospace is based in Belgrade, Montana, and provides aerial firefighting and wildfire management services to federal and state government agencies, including the United States Forest Service.
