Powerfleet, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIOT) announced that its board of directors has appointed Michael Casey to rejoin the board and serve as chair of the audit committee, effective July 15, 2026.
Casey previously served as a Powerfleet director from September 2016 until the company's combination with MiX Telematics. His appointment follows the resignation of Michael McConnell from the board and as audit committee chair, also effective July 15, 2026.
Andrew Martin, chairman of the board, attributed Casey's appointment to his public-company financial experience, accounting background, and prior service with Powerfleet.
Casey has been a partner at TechCXO, LLC, a professional services firm serving technology-sector businesses, since 2006. He previously held chief financial officer roles at MAPICS, Inc., Manhattan Associates, Inc., and IQ Software Corporation, and served as executive vice president and chief financial and administrative officer at iXL Enterprises, Inc. He also served on the board of Determine, Inc. from 2010 until its acquisition in April 2019, including as chair of its audit committee.
Casey began his career as a certified public accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co. and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Georgia.
