Exyn Defense, the defense unit of Exyn Technologies (NASDAQ: EXYN), has initiated the Green UAS certification process for its Nexys autonomous mapping platform, the company said in a press release dated July 21, 2026.
Green UAS is a procurement framework used by U.S. government agencies to identify secure and trusted unmanned aerial systems. Exyn Defense said pursuing the certification is intended to broaden Nexys's eligibility for contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense, federal agencies, and public safety programs.
Nexys is powered by ExynAI, Exyn's proprietary autonomy software, and is designed to enable aerial and ground robotic systems to navigate, map, and generate 3D data without GPS, prior maps, or continuous operator input. The platform includes onboard perception, real-time localization, and obstacle avoidance capabilities.
"Initiating the Green UAS certification process is an important step in expanding our addressable government market while reinforcing our commitment to delivering trusted, mission-ready autonomy for defense customers," said Guy Barni, General Manager of Exyn Defense.
The company said Nexys uses a software-first, modular architecture intended to allow the platform to adapt to evolving government security standards and approved component ecosystems.
