July 21, 2026 7:28 AM EDT

Investing.com -- Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL) reported second-quarter earnings before the open on Tuesday, with its shares declining premarket despite the company topping consensus expectations.

Adjusted earnings per share of $0.55 exceeded the analyst consensus of $0.54, while revenue of $5.7 billion topped estimates of $5.5 billion. Revenue increased 4% YoY from $5.5 billion in the second quarter of 2025. Despite beating expectations, shares fell 3.1% following the results.

The company posted adjusted operating margin of 12% for the quarter. Completion and Production revenue reached $3.2 billion, up 6% sequentially, driven by increased stimulation activity in the Western Hemisphere and improved well intervention services in Asia. Drilling and Evaluation revenue rose to $2.5 billion, up 5% sequentially, primarily from increased drilling-related services and higher wireline activity in North America and Europe/Africa.

"I am pleased with Halliburton’s performance this quarter, and believe the global outlook for Halliburton is strong. I expect our differentiated technology and value proposition set the stage for revenue growth and margin expansion," said Jeff Miller, Chairman, President and CEO.

North America revenue increased 7% sequentially to $2.3 billion, while international revenue grew 5% to $3.4 billion. Europe/Africa showed the strongest regional performance with revenue up 19% sequentially to $1.0 billion. Middle East/Asia revenue declined 2% to $1.3 billion due to lower activity in Kuwait, Iraq, and Qatar resulting from ongoing geopolitical conflict.
