Diana Shipping charters DSI Pegasus to Fednav at $18,350 per day

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX) announced a time charter contract for its Ultramax dry bulk vessel m/v DSI Pegasus with Fednav International Ltd., according to a press release issued July 20, 2026.

The gross charter rate is $18,350 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. The charter period runs from a minimum of August 15, 2027 to a maximum of October 15, 2027, with the charter expected to commence July 27, 2026. The arrangement is projected to generate approximately $6.95 million in gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period.

The DSI Pegasus is a 60,508 deadweight ton Ultramax dry bulk vessel built in 2015. The vessel is currently chartered to Cargill Ocean Transportation (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. at a gross rate of $14,250 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties.

Diana Shipping's fleet currently consists of 36 dry bulk vessels, including 4 Newcastlemax, 8 Capesize, 4 Post-Panamax, 6 Kamsarmax, 5 Panamax, and 9 Ultramax vessels. The company also expects to take delivery of two methanol dual fuel Kamsarmax newbuilding vessels in the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028, respectively. The combined carrying capacity of the current fleet is approximately 4.1 million deadweight tons, with a weighted average age of 12.65 years.
