SMX reports balance sheet improvements and H1 2026 financial results
SMX (Security Matters) Plc (NASDAQ: SMX) reported its financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, according to a press release issued July 20, 2026.
The company raised $50.5 million during the first half of 2026 through its existing Standby Equity Purchase Agreement (SEPA) program. Cash and cash equivalents increased to $34.5 million, while payables and loans were reduced by 61% to $8.7 million. Shareholders' equity rose 181% to $54.4 million.
SMX reported continued commercial activity across Singapore, the UAE, and Japan during the period. The company also said it continued investing in circular economy initiatives, its Plastic Credit Token (PCT) platform, cyber hardware authentication, and digital asset projects.
For the second half of 2026, SMX said it plans to focus on expanding international operations, advancing its cyber hardware authentication platform and PCT ecosystem, and working toward revenue generation.
