Former TSMC employee indicted for trade secret theft

Investing.com -- Taiwan prosecutors indicted a former TSMC employee on Monday for allegedly stealing trade secrets involving technologies designated by Taiwan as national core technologies, with intent to use them in China.
TSMC is the world's largest contract chipmaker.
This marks Taiwan's first prosecution involving alleged leakage of national core technology trade secrets to China, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors are seeking a seven-year prison term for the defendant.
