Organigram reports Sanity unit at ~10% German market share
Organigram Global Inc. (NASDAQ: OGI) issued a business update on its recently acquired German cannabis unit, Sanity Group GmbH, and its Canadian market position, according to a press release.
Since the acquisition closed on April 15, 2026, Sanity has held an average market share of approximately 10% in Germany, with revenue performing in line with expectations set at the time of the deal. The company said recently announced German regulatory changes to medical cannabis reimbursement eligibility are not expected to have a material impact on Sanity, as reimbursement-based sales account for roughly 1% of Sanity's total revenue.
In Canada, Organigram held 11.1% of the recreational cannabis market at the end of June, down 0.4 percentage points year-over-year but up 100 basis points compared to May. The company ranked first in flower with 12.5% category share, first in vapes with 14.5%, and second in pre-rolls with 7.3%. Those three categories represent more than 86% of total Canadian recreational cannabis retail sales. Year-over-year share gains were recorded in beverages, up 3.1 percentage points, and concentrates, up 3.3 percentage points.
Distribution of Organigram's new all-in-one vape portfolio has expanded to every Canadian province except Nova Scotia and Quebec.
Organigram expects to report Q3 Fiscal 2026 financial results on or about August 11, 2026, which will be the first quarter to include consolidated results from both Organigram and Sanity. The company also plans to host a digital investor session in late September 2026 covering strategic priorities, capital allocation, and Canadian and international growth initiatives.
