Leidos and DHL ally to bid on UK defence logistics contract

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) and DHL Supply Chain have announced a strategic alliance to compete for the UK Ministry of Defence's Future Defence Support Services (FDSS) programme, according to a press release issued July 17, 2026.

The partnership, operating under the name Logistics & Mission Support Alliance, combines Leidos' defence integration capabilities with DHL's global logistics network. The alliance is participating in a competitive contract bidding process and has not yet been awarded the contract.

If awarded, the alliance would provide integrated logistics support to the UK Armed Forces, incorporating artificial intelligence, data analytics, and automation to manage supply, inventory, and asset visibility.

Adam Clarke, Chief Executive Officer of Leidos UK & Europe, said the alliance aims to "align capability, data and decision-making to enable faster, more resilient and more precise support to the UK's Armed Forces."

Martin Willmor, Chief Executive Officer of DHL Supply Chain UK&I, said the FDSS programme "presents an opportunity to modernise support of UK Defence at a time of increasing operational complexity."

Leidos, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, reported annual revenues of approximately $17.2 billion for the fiscal year ended January 2, 2026. DHL operates in more than 220 countries and territories with approximately 389,000 employees.
