Coca-Cola's fairlife suspends U.S. production after ransomware attack

The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) said its dairy subsidiary fairlife, LLC experienced a ransomware attack that resulted in unauthorized third-party access to a portion of its systems, including production-related systems.

As a result, fairlife has temporarily suspended production operations in the United States. The company said fairlife's Canada production operations are not currently affected. Product quality and safety have not been impacted, according to the company.

Coca-Cola said it activated incident response and business continuity protocols after detecting the issue. The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of outside advisors and cybersecurity experts. Law enforcement has been notified. The full scope, nature, and impact of the incident are not yet known.
