Stellantis adds remote start to Connect One, cuts Wi-Fi plan price

Stellantis (NYSE: STLA) announced changes to its connected vehicle subscription offerings for 2027 model year vehicles sold in the United States, adding remote engine start/stop to its standard 10-year Connect One plan and lowering the price of its optional Connect Wi-Fi Plus package.

Remote engine start/stop via the brand mobile app will be included at no extra cost in the Connect One plan for most 2027 model year Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, FIAT and Alfa Romeo vehicles. The plan also includes remote door lock/unlock, over-the-air software updates, monthly vehicle health reports, automatic SOS calls and other services for 10 years.

The optional Connect Wi-Fi Plus subscription, which provides unlimited data for an in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot supporting up to eight devices, connected navigation, stolen vehicle assistance and vehicle finder, is priced at $15.99 per month, down $2 from the prior rate. Customers who enroll within 30 days of purchase receive a three-month free trial.

Buyers of the 2027 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer S receive 10 years of Connect One and three years of Connect Plus at no extra charge, with Wi-Fi hotspot service available at $12.99 per month and a one-month free trial. Buyers of 2027 Alfa Romeo vehicles receive the same Connect One and Connect Plus terms, plus a three-month or 1 GB data trial.

Stellantis also introduced a three-year SiriusXM Extended Service Subscription available as a factory-ordered option for 2027 model year vehicles, factored into the manufacturer's suggested retail price. A separate program called FlexCare Sounds Powered by SiriusXM allows new owners to add the subscription through a dealership's finance office for up to 75 days after purchase.

"Remote start is exactly that. On a cold Minnesota morning or a hot Texas afternoon, being able to warm up or cool down your vehicle from your phone is not a gimmick; it is technology showing up when people need it," said Ricardo Stamatti, head of the Stellantis software business unit.
