Voyager Technologies signs Geisinger as first VISTA life sciences partner

Voyager Technologies (NYSE: VOYG) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Geisinger, a Pennsylvania-based health system, making Geisinger the first major clinical and life sciences partner of Voyager's Institute for Space, Technology and Advancement, known as VISTA.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will jointly pursue up to $1 million in external funding for research programs that use microgravity conditions to advance biomedical and clinical initiatives. The MOU also provides Geisinger with reserved research resources, tenant access, and payload development support through Starlab and other commercial space infrastructure.

Stated research focus areas include space-based drug development, remote patient monitoring and telehealth, cybersecurity health platforms, multi-omics and biological effects of spaceflight, and clinical trials enabled by microgravity.

Geisinger operates more than 130 care sites, including 10 hospital campuses, across central and northeastern Pennsylvania, and conducts more than 1,600 clinical research studies annually. The nonprofit system reported $9 billion in annual revenues and employs approximately 28,000 people.

VISTA is anchored at The Ohio State University and provides access to the International Space Station and future commercial space platforms. The partnership details were shared in a press release from Voyager Technologies.
