Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) has outlined the technical specifications and certifications of its IQ EV Charger 2, which is now available across European markets, according to a company statement.
The charger is designed to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from –40°C to 55°C and at altitudes up to 2,500 meters. It carries an IP55 and IK10 enclosure rating, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. The unit supports single-phase and three-phase wiring with configurable power up to 32 A per phase and includes automatic phase switching.
The product has received safety certification from TÜV Rheinland and energy-metering certification from NMI. It carries CE marking and complies with European standards including IEC/EN 61851-1, IEC/EN 61851-21-2, IEC/EN 62196, and IEC/EN 62955. In France, it has received E.V. READY certification.
Built-in hardware protections include overvoltage protection, overcurrent detection, an integrated residual direct current detecting device, relay weld detection, and PEN fault detection.
The charger includes a Class B MID energy meter with +/- 1% accuracy and supports dynamic load balancing. It can function as a standalone unit or integrate with Enphase solar and battery systems. A smart charging feature can prioritize surplus solar energy.
Jannik Schall, chief product officer and co-founder of 1KOMMA5°, said: "The IQ EV Charger 2 delivers the consistent performance and build quality our customers expect, with fewer surprises for them and for our installers."
Sabbas Daniel, senior vice president of sales at Enphase Energy, said the charger is "backed by an industry-leading five-year warranty and around-the-clock support."
The product is available in socketed and tethered configurations. The tethered version includes a 7.5-meter cable with a Type 2 connector.
