Veea launches edge-to-cloud AI platform for third-party devices
Veea Inc. (NASDAQ: VEEA) announced the commercial availability of its VeeaONE distributed intelligence platform, including middleware and developer tools that now run on a broader range of third-party hardware, according to a company statement.
The release includes VeeaWare middleware on Secured Docker, the VeeaHub Toolkit, and the Veea Developer Portal. The middleware now runs on the Nvidia Jetson family and on x86- and Arm-based Linux servers, with or without GPU, NPU, TPU, or DPU acceleration.
The platform is designed to manage distributed edge computing clusters, scaling to thousands of connected systems through VeeaCloud. Certified third-party hardware joins Veea's existing edge nodes in a single mesh computing and communications fabric.
Key components included in the release are SecureConnect, a zero-trust network access layer extended to third-party nodes; Lobster Trap, an inline AI policy-enforcement layer that Veea open-sourced under the MIT license in March 2026; and TerraFabric, a workload placement system across device, on-premises, near-premises, and cloud tiers.
The platform is described as model-agnostic, supporting AI models from Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI, as well as open-source alternatives.
"AI should execute at the lowest layer of the network capable of satisfying latency, privacy, bandwidth, cost and computational requirements, escalating to the regional edge or cloud only when necessary," said Allen Salmasi, Chairman and CEO of Veea.
The company noted that in Mexico, Telcel's enterprise customers can optionally extend their VeeaONE networks with certified third-party servers running VeeaWare middleware.
VeeaWare middleware and the VeeaHub Toolkit are available to enterprise customers through system integrators, network operators, ISPs, satellite operators, and other channel partners, as well as through the Veea Developer Portal and VeeaCloud.
Veea, founded in 2014 and headquartered in New York City, holds more than 123 patents across related technology domains.
