GameSquare Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: GAME) liquidated 1,209 ETH and plans to use a portion of the proceeds to fund its ongoing share repurchase program, according to a press release issued July 15, 2026.
The company held approximately 14,300 ETH as of July 14, 2026. GameSquare stated it continues to view ETH and other onchain assets favorably over the long term but believes repurchasing its common stock is a more attractive use of capital at current trading levels.
"While we believe in the long-term potential of ETH and other onchain assets, we believe repurchasing GameSquare stock offers a far greater opportunity to create value for our shareholders," said Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare.
As of May 13, 2026, GameSquare had repurchased 7.35 million shares for $3.6 million since its repurchase program began in October 2025, at an average price of approximately $0.47 per share. The company said approximately $11.4 million remains available under its current repurchase authorization.
