US Antimony contracts AI firm for Los Juarez silver mine in Mexico

July 15, 2026 8:01 AM EDT

United States Antimony Corporation (NYSE: UAMY) has contracted an unnamed artificial intelligence firm to analyze geological and operational data at its Los Juarez silver mine in Queretaro, Mexico, according to a company statement.

The Los Juarez property is an inactive legacy asset. The company said the AI application is intended to compress data analysis timelines from months or years to weeks, with the stated goal of reducing risk and accelerating production decisions at certain mining properties.

The company said it is currently in negotiations with active silver mining companies in Mexico regarding a potential acquisition of Los Juarez. Terms under discussion include stock ownership in the acquiring party, royalty ownership, property participation, or a combination of those arrangements.

Gary C. Evans, Chairman and CEO of United States Antimony, said the technology would allow geologists and engineers to process large volumes of existing data — including geological surveys, satellite imagery, assay results, and miner logs — more rapidly. "AI is not the all-in answer, but if used properly, the technical use of it can change our way of doing business," Evans said.

United States Antimony describes itself as the only fully integrated antimony company outside of China and Russia. The company also processes zeolite and precious metals at facilities in Montana and Mexico, and has acquired mining claims in Alaska, Montana, and Ontario, Canada since 2024.
