Rambam, EOS, and PTC to build 3D implant center in Israel

Rambam Health Care Campus, EOS, and PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) announced a collaboration to establish a Digital Implant Engineering Center at Rambam's facility in Haifa, Israel, according to a press release issued July 15, 2026.

The center will bring together engineers and physicians to design, develop, and produce customized patient implants using metal 3D printing. The partnership combines Rambam's clinical operations, EOS's industrial additive manufacturing technology, and PTC's Creo computer-aided design software.

The initiative is intended to enable patient-specific implants to be produced on-site at the hospital, reducing reliance on external suppliers and aiming to shorten treatment timelines and recovery periods.

"Personalized care represents the future of medicine, and Rambam is establishing a significant benchmark with its dedicated in-house center," said Dr. Michal Mekel, Director General of Rambam Health Care Campus.

Nikolai Zaepernick, Chief Strategy Officer at EOS, said the collaboration represents "a vital step toward a repeatable, highly responsive and digitally connected model for patient-specific care."

Dr. Ronen Ben-Horin, Vice President of Technology at PTC, said the center "demonstrates how intelligent digital engineering drives innovation."

Rambam is a 1,100-bed academic hospital serving more than 2.7 million residents in northern Israel. EOS, headquartered in Krailling, Germany, has provided industrial 3D printing technology since 1989. PTC, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, employs over 7,000 people and serves more than 30,000 customers globally.
