Stephens analyst Mike Scialla lowered the price target on EQT Corp. (NYSE: EQT) to $71.00 (from $72.00) while maintaining a Overweight rating.
The analyst commented: "Our 2Q26 CFPS and production estimates are 5% and 1% below consensus. We anticipate ~$900MM of 2026 debt maturities will be redeemed with FCF this year and assume debt reduction remained the top FCF priority during the quarter as the company is rapidly nearing its net debt target of $5B. Last quarter EQT became the first natural gas company to receive a BBB rating from Fitch. Given the company's integrated assets, low-cost structure, and potential to pivot to returning cash to shareholders before YE26, we look for the stock to maintain its premium valuation to our natural gas peer group. We reiterate our OW rating and are tweaking our NAV-based price target to $71 from $72 based on our updated price forecast."
