PagerDuty names Alkami CEO Alex Shootman to its board

PagerDuty, Inc. (NYSE: PD) announced the appointment of Alex Shootman to its Board of Directors, effective July 14, 2026, according to a press release from the company.



Shootman currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and board member of Alkami Technology, Inc. He previously held the role of President and CEO of Workfront from 2016 until its $1.5 billion acquisition by Adobe in 2020. Before that, he served as President of Worldwide Field Operations at Apptio and as President of Eloqua, where he guided the company through its 2012 IPO and its subsequent $900 million sale to Oracle. He has also held executive roles at IBM and BMC Software.



Separately, PagerDuty announced that Elena Gomez has resigned from its Board of Directors to focus on her role as President and Chief Financial Officer at Toast. Gomez had served on the board for nearly eight years.



"Alex brings over 25 years of exceptional operating experience to the PagerDuty board," said John DiLullo, CEO of PagerDuty. "His discipline and experiences are directly relevant as we push deeper into the enterprise market and build lasting value for our customers and shareholders."
