Acorn Capital sells Berry Aviation to Bristow Group

Acorn Capital Management, a private fund management firm focused on the aerospace, defense, intelligence, and space sectors, has completed the sale of Berry Aviation to Bristow Group Inc. (NYSE: VTOL), according to a press release from the Oklahoma City-based firm.
Berry Aviation provides specialized aviation services to U.S. government and commercial customers. During Acorn's ownership period, the company expanded its unmanned aircraft systems business line, grew its maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities, and increased its government and cargo aircraft fleets.
Rick Nagel, Managing Partner of Acorn Capital Management, said in a statement: "We are incredibly proud of what the Berry team accomplished during our partnership. Working alongside an exceptional management team, we executed a shared vision to expand the Company's capabilities, strengthen its leadership team, invest in new growth platforms, and position Berry for its next phase of growth."
KippsDeSanto & Co. served as exclusive financial advisor to Acorn Capital Management, and McAfee & Taft provided legal counsel in connection with the transaction. No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
