Syntec Optics wins orders for two new AR defense display windows

July 13, 2026 8:23 AM EDT

Syntec Optics Holdings (NASDAQ: OPTX) announced it has received orders for two additional ballistic-grade display windows for U.S. military augmented reality systems, expanding its existing product portfolio in that category.

According to a press release from the Rochester, N.Y.-based company, the new products include a window for advanced eye-tracking and a window for specialized illumination. The orders follow the company's prior delivery of display-side windows for soldier AR systems.

"Our successful execution on initial display-side windows has directly led to these additional product awards," said Dean Rudy, CFO of Syntec Optics. "The award encompasses separate windows for advanced eye-tracking and specialized illumination."

Rudy described the awards as "the initiation of a decade-long supply program for next-generation domestically sourced and NDAA-compliant defense architecture."

Matt Carey, Vice President of New Business Development at Syntec Optics, said the products are designed to meet requirements for windows used in military wearables, adding that the company aims to support domestically sourced defense modernization.

Syntec Optics employs approximately 180 people and manufactures high-precision optics and photonics products for defense, space, and other applications.
