Kratos wins $100M sole source space domain awareness contract

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (NASDAQ: KTOS) has received an approximately $100 million sole source prime contract for the production of a ground-based modular space domain awareness system, the company announced July 13, 2026.

Work under the contract will be performed at Kratos production and integration facilities, which the company describes as secure. The award follows a demonstration of the system's mission effectiveness, according to the press release.

Mike Johns, Kratos Senior Vice President, said, "Kratos is proud to have developed, tested and demonstrated this true technology-leading space domain awareness system, which will now be entering production." Johns added that the program "could in the future become one of the most important for our DRSS business."

Eric DeMarco, Kratos President and CEO, said, "We believe that across our company, Kratos has the right, relevant products, at the right time, at the right cost points—products which can be rapidly mass produced and fielded now."

Kratos said it would not provide additional details about the contract due to security, competitive, and other considerations.
