Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) announced the launch of its IQ9N microinverter for residential solar in Australia and New Zealand, extending a rollout that previously covered Europe and the United States.
The IQ9N is built with gallium nitride (GaN) technology and supports 16 A of continuous DC current and 427 VA of continuous output power. The company states the units achieve peak efficiency of up to 97.95%. The product carries a 25-year limited warranty and operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +65°C.
The microinverter is backward compatible with Enphase's IQ7 and IQ8 series and compatible with IQ Batteries. It meets AS/NZS 4777.2:2020 grid compliance standards and is CEC listed. A double-insulated, corrosion-resistant polymer housing is included, along with built-in rapid shutdown capability.
Homeowners can monitor panel-level performance and receive over-the-air software updates through the Enphase App.
"Australia is one of the world's most advanced rooftop solar markets and a natural next step in the global expansion of IQ9N Microinverters," said Ken Fong, senior vice president and general manager for Americas and Asia Pacific at Enphase Energy.
The IQ9N microinverters are available through Enphase distribution partners in both countries.
