Graphic Packaging Holding Company (NYSE: GPK) announced the launch of PaceSetter Ridgeline, a new uncoated recycled paperboard (URB) product, marking the company's entry into the URB market.
The product is made from 100% recycled fiber with at least 45% post-consumer recycled content. It is available in 12- to 30-point calipers and is produced at the company's paperboard mill in Waco, Texas. Intended applications include folding cartons, laminations, edge protectors, tubes and cores, and other specialty uses.
According to the company, the Waco facility is capable of transitioning between coated and uncoated recycled paperboard production, which the company says allows it to respond to shifts in customer demand.
Robbert Rietbroek, president and chief executive officer at Graphic Packaging, said the product "extends our recycled paperboard platform to new markets and customers, further diversifying our portfolio to include industrial applications."
Graphic Packaging, headquartered in Atlanta, designs and produces consumer packaging primarily from renewable or recycled materials.
