WeRide begins overseas road testing of driving system with Bosch

July 13, 2026 5:43 AM EDT

WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD) has begun on-road testing and localization validation of its end-to-end intelligent driving solution in Germany, France, Japan and other international markets, according to a company statement.

The solution is co-developed with Bosch and built on WeRide's proprietary one-stage end-to-end algorithm, integrated with Bosch's automotive-grade domain controller platform. The system combines perception, prediction, planning and control within a single AI model and supports both driving and parking scenarios.

WeRide said the unified architecture is intended to allow adaptation across varying traffic regulations, road infrastructure, driving cultures and climate conditions, from Germany's autobahns and France's roundabouts to right-hand-drive markets and extreme heat environments in the Middle East.

The company said it is working with multiple automakers to incorporate regional road characteristics and regulatory requirements into product development. WeRide reported design wins across more than 30 production vehicle programs with automakers including Chery and GAC Group.

In China, Chery Exeed ES and ET models equipped with WeRide's WRD 3.0 system recorded six consecutive victories in the China Intelligent Driving Challenge over the past six months, according to the press release.

WeRide said it is building an engineering and validation framework covering research and development, testing, adaptation and commercial deployment across international markets.
