Nubank Mexico receives final approval to operate as a full bank

Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: NU) announced that its Mexican subsidiary, Nubank, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, has received an Operations Authorization from Mexico's Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV) to begin operating as a multiple bank.
The authorization, received on July 9, 2026, represents the final step in a transformation process that began when Nubank México received its banking license approval on April 24, 2025. Under applicable Mexican banking regulations, Nubank México must begin operating as a bank within 30 days of receiving the authorization.
The information is based on a notice to shareholders and the market issued by Nu Holdings, which is incorporated in the Cayman Islands.
