Fubo names former Disney+ president Alisa Bowen as new CEO

FuboTV Inc. (NYSE: FUBO) has appointed Alisa Bowen as chief executive officer, effective July 10, replacing co-founder David Gandler, according to a company statement.

Bowen previously served as president of Disney+, where she was also a founding member of Disney's Streaming Leadership team. In that role, she was involved in the global buildout and scaling of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+. Before joining Disney, she held positions at News Corporation, Dow Jones and Thomson Reuters.

Gandler, who co-founded the company approximately 11 years ago, has resigned from the board and will not stand for election at the company's Annual Meeting of Stockholders scheduled for July 28, 2026. Bowen is expected to be appointed to the board following that meeting, subject to board approval.

Andy Bird, chairman of the board, attributed the leadership change to Fubo's strategic position following its combination with Hulu + Live TV. Bowen's appointment was described as the result of a process led by the board's independent directors.

Fubo operates streaming services including Hulu + Live TV, Fubo and Molotov, and is an affiliate of The Walt Disney Company.
